2026 Consistory Nominations

FRC Family,

It is that time of year where we prayerfully consider who God has chosen to serve on our leadership team as we continue to pursue God’s mission of inviting every generation to become fully-devoted followers of Jesus. God has richly blessed this church and used it to be a place of connection, growth, and service to His glory and for the sake of His Kingdom. I believe that the best days of FRC are ahead of it. Thanks to you and the people you nominate, God uses our elders and deacons to steward that very mission. So thank you for taking the time to fill out a ballet. Biblical Qualifications for Elders

Responsibility: “shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you…” 1 Peter 5:1. The elders lead the church the direction God is leading, and they feed the church by making sure our worship if God-glorifying and that there are opportunities for people to grow.

Character Traits:

  • A Life Worth Imitating (1 Tim. 3:1-7)

  • Prayerful (Acts 14:23)

  • Self-Controlled (Titus 1:8)

  • Hospitable (Titus 1:8)

  • Able to Teach the Bible (Titus 1:9)

  • Gentle (1 Tim. 3:3)

  • Humble (Titus 1:7)

  • A Lover of Good (Titus 1:8)

  • Spiritually Mature (1 Tim. 3:6)

Biblical Qualifications for Deacons

Responsibility: “Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.” Acts 6:3 (referencing the distribution of food to those who are in need.) Deacons are called to unleash compassion in the ministries of care, outreach, and service.

Character Traits:

  • Self-Controlled (1 Tim. 3:8)

  • Sound in the Faith (1 Tim. 3:9)

  • Compassionate Spirit (Acts 6:3)

  • Person of Integrity (1 Tim. 3:8)

  • Generous Spirit (1 Tim. 3:8)
